Queenstown is coming to La Jolla, California.

San Diego, CA - Queenstown Village, a unique new restaurant serving casual, comfortable New Zealand-inspired cuisine, is set to open its doors in the heart of La Jolla in late spring 2023, just blocks away from the famous La Jolla Cove.

The restaurant draws inspiration from its New Zealand roots to offer a creative and diverse menu that showcases classic Kiwi dishes like fish and chips, meat pies, and rack of lamb, as well as elevated creations like New Zealand king salmon and an award-winning lamb burger.

Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, with the weekends featuring a lively and energetic brunch that includes signature dishes like fried chicken and biscuits, or hoisin pulled pork and kale served over cornbread as an Eggs Benedict. In addition to the full-service bar, the restaurant also offers a diverse tasting menu, allowing diners to sample a variety of dishes and drinks that reflect the depth and diversity of New Zealand's culinary landscape.

Owners PJ Lamont and Matt Baker developed their recipes from the famous Fergburger in Queenstown, New Zealand, and now bring that legacy of Kiwi cuisine to San Diego. All ingredients are organic, grass-fed, and locally sourced where possible by the kitchen team, and in addition to its regular menu, Queenstown offers a famous brunch menu on weekends, complete with a stand-alone outdoor patio cafe that doubles as a bar in the evenings.

Guests can also indulge in an extensive selection of expertly crafted cocktails, featuring fresh sangrias, mini-tinis for happy hour, and a carefully curated wine list that includes exclusive, hard-to-find wines reserved specifically for Queenstown Village.

Lamont and Baker place great importance on respecting and honoring the traditional dishes and experiences found in New Zealand. They strive to create a dining experience that authentically captures the essence of The Land of the Long White Cloud, while adding their own heartfelt touch to each dish.

Queenstown is both chic and comfortable, boasting a sophisticated and modern design with a generous sprinkling of fun, eccentric elements that mark the restaurant’s designer and brand as truly unique.
